Nice Camera
I really like the features with this camera. Especially the zoom features and auto part. I’m sure that I’ll continue to use this camera in the standard mode. More features than a novice user needs.

Amazing camera for the price!
I bought this camera just before taking a 9 day trip to Alaska, I was never once disappointed. The 10x zoom is amazing for long range photos and the macro feature allows for amazing close up vegetation shots. If you are an amature the traditional auto setting is all you’ll ever need (along with the other 7+ auto settings), however if you are interested in learning how to take better photos there are myriad possibilities for customization. The picture of this camera makes it look slightly bulky but I assure you it is not, it easily fits into a small Kodak neoprene camera case (even with an extra set of batteries and the strap attached). I was able to take somewhere around 400 pictures before the 4 stock AA batteries ran out. I replaced them with Energizer Lithium AAs and never had to change them again for the rest of the 6 days. I love the fact that there are no moving parts to the lense, all zooming in/out of the lense happens behind the glass. This makes it impossible for you to jam dirt, sand, etc. in your lense. Super easy to use, phenomenally crisp photos, under $200. What more can you ask for? BUY THIS CAMERA

Good camera, when not in AUTO mode
You made have read reviews before for this camera that it does not work well in low light situations. That is only partly true. After first receiving this camera in the mail i was quite disappointed. Indoor pictures looked really bad and noisy! After doing a little research, i found out it is because in “AUTO” mode the camera will generally keep the iso at about 800 or so, which is NOT a good thing. this camera, when the iso gets above 200, the images get very nasty looking, this is especially noticeable when taking a picture that has wood in it.

I have found an easy fix to this problem which drastically enhances the picture quality when taking shots indoors. I first put the camera into “P” mode, which allows manual control of flash power, exposure, iso, etc. i manually set the ISO down to 100 or 64. After doing this, the image quality of an indoor shot goes up dramatically.

on a side note, this camera does very well outdoors, colors look amazing, especially for the cheap price of the camera.

overall this is a high quality camera that is easy to use and has nice features.
